This project involved refurbishing 14 floors of the iconic Telstra building in Brisbane. Demolition work, ceiling and partition installation and glazing were undertaken over four stages.
PROJECT FACTS:
Approximately 14,000 m2 of ceiling tiles were used on this project.
CHALLENGES:
Moving our teams and equipment across a multi-level building with functioning offices required meticulous planning and logistics. Belsõ completed the work on time and on budget, with minimal disturbance to building occupants.

DESCRIPTION:
This project involved constructing a new amenities block for the Wests AFL Club, including showers, toilets and a first-aid room. As part of our brief, the building materials needed to be sympathetic to the existing historic buildings on site. We constructed the building from steel and block with a rendered finish, including a floor with a simple honed surface.

DESCRIPTION:
This project involved extending the upper floor (500 m2) over the building’s gymnasium, increasing its total size to 1000 m2. The brief also involved demolishing the existing amenities block and office, then building a new amenities building and refitting the 1000 m2 tenancy.
PROJECT FACTS:
The most difficult part of the construction process was installing the 11 m x 530 m structural steel beams nearly 5 m off the ground.
CHALLENGES:
The major challenge was controlling a safe environment for both tenants and our tradesmen, and keeping noise to a minimum, within a built up area. The project had specific hours of entry due to the continued operation of the building’s gymnasium during construction. To cater to the circumstances, we progressed the fitouts over four stages within the scheduled program.

DESCRIPTION:
This project involved refurbishing the bakery and butcher areas of Coles.
CHALLENGES:
One of the challenges was ensuring the public, staff and workspace was kept safe during work. We installed hoarding to block customer access and ensure the site was clear of debris. We also had the challenge of working alongside other trades in a tight location, within the stores opening hours.

This project involved a full branch relocation and re-fit into a new site. Belsõ undertook the demolition work and installed hoarding, ceilings, partitions and steel supports. We also completed the glazing and painting.
